I am sure you have heard the saying "it takes a village". The Son-Rise program does take a village. Son-Rise cannot be done by us alone. It takes many people to run a successful program.
If you have an interest in helping Charlie with his Journey. There are two ways you can help. Volunteer to play with Charlie in his program or Donate to The Charles DiMichele - Autism Treatment Fund that has been set up to cover the costs of the Son-Rise Program that is not covered by insurance
Volunteer
Charlie's Son-Rise Program is made up of volunteers who come and play with him for two hours using the principles and techniques of Son-Rise. It is a play based therapy in which Charlie is having fun and learning at the same time. We have seen amazing progress in Charlie since we began Son-Rise and we owe it to our volunteers. No experience is necessary and all training will be provided. If you are interested in volunteering at least 4 hours a week to help a little boy and get an amazing sence of fulfillment please email me: jill@charliesplayroom.com

Most therapeutic programs for the treatment of Autism are not covered by insurance therefore leaving the responsibility of funding the treatment up to the child's family. The costs add up quickly and can be in the tens of thousands of dollars a year.
Son-Rise is no different. Between the cost of parent training, monthly consultations, professional outreaches to our home, the intensive program and childcare for our daughters when Mom is working with Charlie adds up to over $40,000 per year. We have sacraficed, saved and downsized to fund Charlie's therapies for the past 8 years. If you can find it in your heart to help our sweet boy on his Journey with Autism please click on the secure donate button below. 100% of these donations go directly into a dedicated account specified soley for Charlie's treatment.
At this time, donations made to Charlie's Son-Rise Program are not tax deductible because we are not a 501(c)3, non-profit organization. We cannot qualify for 501(c)3 status because our fundraising efforts are for the benefit of a family member and it isn’t legal to set up a 501(c)3 in this situation.
